(Link) Hey y'all Nerfers! Just a quick combo suggestion. :D Pyragon has evolved Slam-Fire, right? Why not combine it with the Firefly Tech clip for some night-time ambushes on unsuspecting family/friends? :P

News Update: Pyragon Review and a News Segment? :D

(Link) Hey Squaddies, thought I'd update you on our current goings-on at the S.O.F.T. HQ. 

First up: Alex and I both have gotten our hands on the newly released Vortex Pyragon. And I've gotta say, it is a BEAST of a blaster. Now, since I am in love with it so much, I thought I'd try a Video Review. Yes, soon enough, you'll see S.O.F.T.'s chief in the flesh. :P And, it was suggested on our FB page, that I try to set a new Slam-Fire record, emptying all 40 rounds as quick as possible.. With that, I am happy to oblige. That review, is coming soon sometime next week.

Also, I was thinking, why not do a fortnightly or monthly (?) news segment? (Similar to what our friends at AFON, Mr K and Mr S do.) Since there is so much Elite news coming out, I'd thought we'd wrap all of the news into one hit, easy to find. If Alex likes this idea, we'll find a way for both of us to present the news in the same video, since we reside at the north and south ends of this island :P The wonders of technology will allow this, I hope :D

EXCLUSIVE Preview: S.O.F.T. Is Going 'Elite'... :P

News: Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Official Photo & Thoughts

Coming straight from Nerf's Official Facebook page, here we have the first official shot of the Hail-Fire.  And now, I must admit, that is one AWESOME looking piece of kit. It is unlike anything I've seen thus far coming out of Nerf's lab :P Let me run off my thoughts about the Hail-Fire, as I am feeling as of now:

1. The Hail-Fire looks BIG, and badass. I must admit, wielding this monster will take some getting used to. I would really like to see if it is possible to dual-wield. :P
2. Personally, I LOVE seeing the names of blasters being represented on their hosts, and this one doesn't dissappoint. Maybe it is just I am a huge fan of cosmetics and asthetics, I don't know. :P More detail, makes more eye candy :P
3. Due to my experiences with flywheel blasters (For newcomers, two vertical flywheels spin around very fast, when the trigger is pulled, the dart gets pushed inbetween the flywheels, and is gripped, and launched through the mouth of the barrel.) I am personally looking forward to this system. I love the feeling of awesomeness when you rev up those wheels, and the noise sounds out that YOU ARE COMING. With this beast, it'll be a LOT more intimidating that a Rayven :P

Now, all of us want to see how the rotating ammo rack works, Nerf! :P You've impressed me thus far. :)

2011 Dart Tag Range Availability - As of 11/05/2012

The most sought out blasters by me, at the moment, is the 2011 Dart Tag range, of which never made it Down Under last year. Rumors have been flying around that this year, 2012, they are finally arriving here in S.O.F.T.'s homeland, Tasmania. If it's here, it's probably around the same basis for the rest of Australia. :D

Currently, 4 of the 5 Dart Tag blasters are readily available to get your mitts on :D:

My good friend Neil, from Canberra & Southern NSW Dart Tag (Nerf Wars, HvZ), has intel that the Quick 16 will NOT be coming to Australia. Dissappointed. :( But, if you'd like to grab a Quick 16 and don't mind paying a little extra, I'd gladly recommend The General's Toyporium, who I have dealt with in the past, and offer excellent customer service. :)

Preview: Nerf N-Strike Elite Hailfire

From Nerf's official YouTube channel, comes the video that I've been waiting for, the Hailfire preview. Personally, I'm looking forward to it, but I'm a bit steamed about the whole '4 clips only, buy more' aspect of it. But my main point of interest is: How the heck is it gonna fit in a box?
